The mass of this office building has two distinctly different sections, a multistorey structure on a cruciform plan with conventional cellular offices, and the two-storey plinth containing special functional spaces and large open-plan offices. The horizontally emphasized plinth with its RC parapets makes the link to the platform structures of neighbouring buildings. The high-rise section has a reflecting façade of dark brown actinic glass surrounded by balconies and offsets the pale-coloured plinth layers. Its transparent recessed middle together with reflections of the other wing and of the balcony pilasters in the façade make the high-rise appear light and elegant. The façade modules consist of two-piece laminated insulating glass framed by dark bronze extruded anodized aluminium sections.
