Equipped with the latest medical technology, the Cardiac Center welcomes patients and visitors with a glazed 12-m-high entrance and lightfilled reception lobby as high as the building. Deciduous trees with benches beneath them and warm materials such as cherry wood make the five-storey lobby an attractive place to spend time, its atmosphere resembling more a hotel than a clinic.

The wards are decorated in light, friendly colors. Patients have private rooms at their disposal, also meeting rooms for relatives and friends. The Children’s Cardiology department on the 2nd floor has a parents’ room and playroom linked to a playground framed by green pergolas. The nursing wards on the 3rd floor are notable for their storey-high glazing and wood paneling. Each pair of double rooms has a day room with a loggia outside.

The column beam facade of the new H-shaped building is clad in light shell limestone. Reddish-tinted aluminum shades in front of the large glazed surfaces lend the classical facade additional structure, giving the building a distinctive look.
