A distinctive head office for Siemens was constructed in Yangpu District in Shanghai on the basis of a LEED gold certification, creating a modern, contemporary and attractive quarter modelled on the historic urban concept of lilongs. Rectangular cubic blocks arranged offset to each other generate a diverse pattern of open spaces, small piazzas to dawdle in and water features alternating with skil-fully designed landscape areas.
