An evening as tribute to the „Elbflorenz“: The upcoming office concert of the „Musitektur“ series is dedicated to the city of culture Dresden. On 5 September at 7.30 pm, the Philharmonic String Trio Dresden will perform pieces of music by the great composers Beethoven, Schubert and Dvořák.
Since 20 years, the solo artists and chamber-music partner Heike Janicke (violin), Andreas Kuhlmann (viola) and Ulf Prelle (violoncello) consider themselves as ambassadors of their international renowned orchestra as well as their world-famous city of culture. Their domain has been re-openend recently after a phase of refurbishment and modernization: the Kulturpalast. At the start of the “Musitektur”-evening, the architect in charge and gmp partner Stephan Schütz illustrates the development and the backgrounds of the project: The new concept of the concert hall in the traditional building was preceded by an intensive collaboration of architects and acousticians with the Dresdner Philharmonie to produce the characteristic sound of the orchestra.
