An evening dedicated to Franz Schubert: With three music pieces the gmp event “Musitektur” pays tribute to the Viennese composer’s oeuvre. On Tuesday, 21st February 2017, at 7.30 pm, the four string leaders of the Staatskapelle Berlin will fill the rooms of the gmp Berlin office, Hardenbergstraße 4-5, with virtuosic sounds of their chamber music interplay.
Grown from a long orchestral tradition, the four protagonists of the string quartet – Wolfram Brandl (violin), Krzysztof Specjal (violin), Yulia Deyneka (viola) und Claudius Popp (violoncello) – have become a fixed ensemble. Besides the classical chamber music repertoire it plays also contemporary music. 2017 is the start of the first cycle in Berlin’s Pierre Boulez hall. Therefore also renowned guest soloists are expected.
