World Cup Membrane Structures

 

This year, the 22nd International Workshop on the Design and Practical Realisation of Architectural Membrane Structures deals with “Textile Roofs”. On this occasion, on 17 May at 12.25 pm Dipl.-Ing. Martin Glass (gmp architects) illustrates in his lecture with the title „World Cup Membrane Structures“ several gmp stadia projects and their specific roof structures. The three day workshop takes places at the Archenhold Observatory in Berlin.

Three days with focus on textile roof structures: This years’ 22nd edition of the event with the title “Textile Roofs 2017” showcases state-of-the-art-projects. In a lecture on 17 May at 12.25 pm, Dipl.-Ing. Martin Glass presents on the basis of gmp-projects the multifaceted options of realization with regard to stadia and sports facilities: “World Cup Membrane Structures” is considered as contribution to the scientific workshop program. Experts, students as well as interested people are welcome.

The workshop is scientifically organized by Prof. Rosemarie Wagner of KIT – Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and AcaMem (Berlin Academy of Architectural Membrane Structures).
