"The architectural competition – curse or blessing?" – Markus Pfisterer, Associate Partner at gmp, will pose this question in the context of the Warsaw Architecture Conversations. His lecture is a contribution to the overarching theme of the event. On Friday, 13th October, from 3 to 7 pm, experts from the disciplines of urban development, architecture and landscape architecture will discuss the instruments of quality assurance with regard to competition, masterplan and design standards.
On behalf of two examples from the gmp portfolio, Markus Pfisterer will illustrate the differences in architectural competitions: Both the competition for the Polish National Stadium in Warsaw and the Real Madrid Stadium “Bernabeu” in Madrid have been won. The subject of the explanations will be the specific characteristics of the procedures as well as the further course of the project and the work of the architects.
The aim of the Warsaw Architecture Conversations is to find holistic approaches and innovative solutions – not only with regard to architectural objects, but also to the urban context, for which the specific, ever changing socio-cultural dispositions are relevant. In a fruitful dialogue, procedures and planning tools for an efficient implementation of projects will be presented.
