The recently reopened Kunsthalle Mannheim considers itself as a "museum in motion". The new building is conceived as a 'city in the city'. On the occasion of the synposium "The Museum of the Future", gmp partner Nikolaus Goetze will be giving a tour of the house on 21 June, explaining the architecture, together with the team of the Kunsthalle Mannheim.
Symposium: 21 and 22 June 2018
Statement und thematic tours with Nikolaus Goetze:
21 June 2018, 5:30 pm
The symposium on 21 and 22 June 2018 in the Kunsthalle Mannheim will address a central question: "How could, what should a 'Museum of the Future' look like?" The question is not without reason – the new building designed by gmp has recently reopened and since then shows a new staging of the collection.
The invitation to an interactive exchange among experts is also the responsibility of the architect Nikolaus Goetze, partner at gmp. On 21 June, starting at 5:30 pm, he – together with the team of the Kunsthalle – hosts thematic tours of the house. The architectural perspective is also explained here. For example, attendants can experience the new museum building conceived as a 'city in the city' step by step.
The two symposium days will also feature lectures and workshops on the subject of museums.
