„In search of appropriate answers to the issues of environmental design, the willingness to participate in a dialogue is required” – this leitmotif characterizes the oeuvre of Prof. Dr. h.c. mult. Dipl.-Ing. Meinhard von Gerkan. In his lecture with the title „Meaning as Guiding Principle of Architecture” (original title: “Sinn als Credo der Architektur”) on 11 Mai, from 7 pm onwards in the GRASSI Museum für Angewandte Kunst in Leipzig, he presents a selection of international gmp projects. Especially the influence of political and economical mechanisms of society on architecture is in the focus of the speech.
The contribution of the gmp founding partner is presented on the occasion of the FSB lecture series on the issue of “sacral buildings”. Jörg Ruhland, Object Consultant at FSB, as well as Wolfgang Reul, who is in charge of the project management architecture will attend the event. FSB invites all participants to the following get-together from 8.30 pm onwards.
