2 October, 10:45 am
Congress Center Kursaal, Kornhausstr. 3, Bern, Switzerland
When the 13th International Conference on Advanced Building Skins takes place in Bern (Switzerland) on 1 and 2 October, gmp will also be represented: Urs Wedekind, Associate Director at gmp, will talk about "Facade design in foreign markets – First double skin facade in Vietnam" at 10:45 am on 2 October.
The focus will be on the facade of the new German House in Ho Chi Minh City, realized by gmp. One aspect, Urs Wedekind illuminates is the approach to such a project: from low-tech to high-tech. Another subject of his contribution is the LEED and DGNB certifications, which encompass a successful consideration of international standards as well as local conditions.
The aim of the Conference on Advanced Building Skins is to contribute to a multidisciplinary, integrated planning approach by architects, engineers, scientists, manufacturers and the building industry to reduce the energy consumption of buildings. The annual international conference attracts 800 participants from over fifty countries.
