A glazed tent roof structure covers the access to the underground tram station, it has the same angle of gradient as the escalator. The ground plan and two lateral elevations form acute triangles. The entrance portal forms another triangle. This geometrically-reduced basic form encapsulates the entrance into the town's underworld. The main design element of the tram station is lighting: linear light spaces change the ambience of the overall space by way of alternating dark and bright areas. Indirect lighting makes low spaces appear higher, and the geometric arrangement of light elements divides the overall space into different zones.
